with Lizzie Harper, £80, Weds 12 Sept
A full day workshop with Lizzie Harper
at the Walled Garden Treberfydd on Wednesday 12 Sept 2018
This one day course will look at the beautiful variety of seedheads on the plants in the Walled garden; from teazel to cardoon, echinacea to opium poppy. We’ll collect a wide variety to look up close, draw them (using helpful tricks like negative space) then work on some monochrome and full-colour watercolours of these fabulous and intricate structures. There’ll be a demo on doing one-colour watercolour studies, and support from Lizzie throughout the day giving tips and help as you draw and paint in the beautiful glasshouses at Treberfydd.
The workshop will run from 10am to 4pm including a two course lunch. Coffee will be available beforehand from 9.30am and tea and cake afterwards from 4pm, so there will be plenty of time to wander around the Walled Garden and buy plants, herbs, vegetables, flowers and fruit trees.
Cost £80 per head, maximum 12 participants.
